One thing I meant to include in yesterday's entry is that I'm a bit annoyed by the post-job swap stat reduction in FF3 DS. If nothing else, it discourages repeated swapping to see all the characters in their cute outfits! In addition to finishing FF13, I've also spent some of my PS3 time lately playing the demo of Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch. This is the jointly-developed Level-5/Studio Ghibli RPG. Level-5 is the company behind Dragon Quest 8/9 and the Professor Layton series. Studio Ghibli is... well, Studio Ghibli. Can this game not be awesome ( Read more... )

Finished FF13 tonight, after a very long hiatus. I had basically been making good progress from when I first got the game to my first eye surgery back in March of 2011. I finished Flower on our PS3 last night. It was a lovely experience. I'd been drawing the game out for a ridiculously long time - we received the PS3 for a Christmas present in 2009 and downloaded Flower the day after Christmas - as I wanted to savor the experience since it wasn't a very long game.
